I am one of those people who absolutely love to entertain. I have a girlfriend who also recently relocated to Vancouver from Los Angeles and we have made girls day a weekly thing. Being a good host is something I always strive for so I figured I would share a few of my favorite things to do when entertaining.
When my friend came over last week we decided we were going to do our nails, maybe flip through a couple magazines, and possibly watch a girly movie. I usually don’t go buy food specifically for the occasion (unless it’s a special occasion) so I just use whatever I have on hand. For me that’s not hard because I generally keep some sort of cheese and crackers, a bottle of wine, and some sweets (home made or not) in the kitchen. That in itself helps me be ready for impromptu entertaining. In addition to that I always try to make sure I display things in a way that is appealing because lets face it, it’s much more fun to eat cheese and crackers off of pretty plates and serving trays.
