Today I am incredibly excited to go see Hotel Transylvania, my Husbands latest project. The animation is getting rave reviews and I couldn’t be any prouder! So, if you love animated movies, Adam Sandler, or if you have kids-go see it! Happy Friday!!

side dish: corn & asparagus salad.
I tend to shop seasonally for fruits and vegetables so when I saw corn on the cob by the cartful at the market I stocked up. My husband and I love the stuff so we’ve been having some form of it every night. This recipe is my favorite so far because it’s so simple and light. I can definitely see this being perfect for a summer barbeque, a dinner party, or even just by itself.
*note: although I followed the recipe I decided not to add any herbs just salt and pepper.
Greek Festival.
Hot spots: Savannah
I don’t mean to overload you all with Savannah pictures but I just can’t help myself! Here are some of my favorites to inspire the Savannah way of life.

{I was lucky enough to witness a local middle school band preforming at the Board of Education office building during lunch}

{old retro theaters scattered throughout downtown make it feel quaint- I’ve been in them all and the this is my favorite one}
Sunday Celebration.
Some of my fondest memories from childhood are of Easter Sundays. I remember tons of family getting together to celebrate at my Great Grandmothers which meant lots of excitement for us kids. Two things were certain on that day. We always had more food than we knew what to do with and I always made a mess coloring the eggs. This year I put my egg dying skills to the test and also tried my hand at some classic holiday recipes! I hope you all got your fill of chocolate bunnies, peeps, and jellybeans!!
girls day.
I am one of those people who absolutely love to entertain. I have a girlfriend who also recently relocated to Vancouver from Los Angeles and we have made girls day a weekly thing. Being a good host is something I always strive for so I figured I would share a few of my favorite things to do when entertaining.
When my friend came over last week we decided we were going to do our nails, maybe flip through a couple magazines, and possibly watch a girly movie. I usually don’t go buy food specifically for the occasion (unless it’s a special occasion) so I just use whatever I have on hand. For me that’s not hard because I generally keep some sort of cheese and crackers, a bottle of wine, and some sweets (home made or not) in the kitchen. That in itself helps me be ready for impromptu entertaining. In addition to that I always try to make sure I display things in a way that is appealing because lets face it, it’s much more fun to eat cheese and crackers off of pretty plates and serving trays. What are your entertaining secrets?…
festival of lights.
Last night, along with some of our friends, my husband and I walked around a garden filled with glittering lights. We drank hot chocolate, listened to cheerful music, and finally ended the night with wood fired pizza. It reminded me how much I truly love this time of year! And as for the light display, it was magical.
snow bunny.
Being from the south I don’t have a natural aptitude for snow activities… On the other hand my husband hails from Massachusetts. I have been skiing on a couple different occasions and was decent enough at it- that was until I got to the top of a mountain in Canada (Cypress Mountain). At that moment I realized I may be a little bit out of my league. Canadians are on a whole other level of winter sports. The beginner mountains are like intermediate (or tougher) mountains in the states. It was not as fun as the other times I went (mostly because I could barely stay on my skis) but I’m hoping I become a little better with time. The upside to all the heights, falling, and cold you ask? Definitely the scenery. Breathtaking.
that’s all folks!

I grew up watching looney tunes like most people my age, and I loved it. Earlier this year when my husband told me he was going to be working on a looney tunes short featured before Happy Feet Two I was ECSTATIC! I have to tell you, he worked on this while also working full time on a feature film… It was a crazy time- long hours, lots of stress, and a ton of work. He did it because he knew he may not have an opportunity like it in the future and, well, he is overly ambitious. He pulled it off and now it has been released! Check it out here!!
